Editor Dr. Roman J. Miller is the Daniel B. Suter Endowed Professor of Biology at Eastern Mennonite University where he teaches courses in physiology, development biology, philosophy of science and bioethics. His diverse research interests include the role of phytoestrogens in the development of mammalian reproductive tissues and the interaction of Anabaptist thought in bioethics. He is also the editor of Perspectives on Science and Christian Faith, the quarterly journal of the American Scientific Affiliation and serves the church as an Overseer for a cluster of five Mennonite congregations.

Editor Dr. Beryl H. Brubaker is provost at Eastern Mennonite University. She received her doctor of science in nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She co-edited Bioethics and the Beginning of Life with Roman Miller in 1990 to publish presentations of a 1987 forum at Eastern Mennonite.

Editor Dr. James C. Peterson is the R.A. Hope Professor of Theology and Ethics and director of the Ph.D. program at McMaster Divinity College at McMaster University, one of Canada’s leading research universities. He is also an ordained pastor in the American Baptist Churches, holds a PhD in ethics from the University of Virginia, and has been a research fellow in molecular and clinical genetics at the University of Iowa. His recent publications include Genetic Turning Points: The Ethics of Human Genetic Intervention and a chapter in God and the Embryo.

At the time of his work on this book, Assistant Editor Timothy H. Shenk was a sophomore honors student at Eastern Mennonite University pursuing a major in history with minors in biology, psychology, and socioeconomic development. Tim was born and raised in Virginia. He attended Eastern Mennonite High School, where he was editor of the school newspaper and served in various other leadership roles. Hobbies include reading, web development, soccer, singing, and enjoying the outdoors.

At the time of her work on this book, Assistant Editor Amy K. Stutzman was a senior at Eastern Mennonite University pursuing a major in English with a minor in journalism. While at EMU, she has enjoyed writing for the school newspaper the Weather Vane. Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, she attended Parkway Christian Academy, where she was active in the choir and various other organizations. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies, reading, and spending time with friends.
