LOVING ENEMIES
A Manual for Ordinary People

Randy and Joyce Klassen, Walla Walla, Washington, are retired after doing freelance art for six years and then developing a new church in California and reviving another in Arizona. Randy was also pastor of established churches or founder of new ones for over forty years.

Now they are enjoying life in Walla Walla but are not sitting on rocking chairs watching the world go by. Since both are artists, their creative impulses spur them to ongoing creative achievements. Randy also fills pulpits and teaches classes as opportunities come along. Joyce is involved in Community Theater, and that calls for hours of memorization and rehearsing.

Their deeply felt concern for peace in this violent world has led them to give time and effort, hearts and minds to the formation of this book. The call of Jesus to love our enemies has challenged them to ponder its implications and how it can be accomplished, even by ordinary people such as they consider themselves to be. Peacemakers who have taken seriously this call have helped inspire their study.
